Coach Briana Rubenstein

  • Division 2 Adelphi University Assistant Coach (2015-2016) in 2015, Adelphi finished with a 14-6 record, winning the program’s first-ever NE10 Regular Season Title and finishing as NE10 Championship Runners-Up. The team earned a spot in the NCAA Division II Regional Tournament. That season also featured several individual honors, including the NE10 Defensive Player of the Year, 2 First Team All-Conference selections, 1 Second Team All-Conference selection, and 1 All-Rookie Team honoree.

  • Carle Place High School – Varsity Head Coach (2018–2021) Led the team to 3 Long Island Championships during her tenure

COACHING

  • Rubenstein also brings international playing experience, having represented Team USA in multiple Maccabi Games. She competed in the 2015 European Maccabi Games in Germany and the 2019 Games in Budapest, where she served as team captain. In 2017, she also captained Team USA at the Maccabiah Games in Israel, helping lead the team to its first-ever silver medal finish.

  • Division 2 Adelphi Field Hockey team from 2011 - 2014, Rubenstein was a standout defender for Adelphi University’s Division II field hockey team from 2011 to 2014, appearing in 75 games with 58 starts. She served as team captain her senior year and led all of Division II in defensive saves, helping the program return to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1981. Over her career, she tallied 3 goals, 1 assist, and 26 defensive saves. Her honors include ECAC First Team All-Star, NE-10 Second Team All-Conference, two-time NE-10 Defensive Player of the Week, and multiple academic accolades.

  • Before attending Adelphi, Rubenstein was a four-year varsity athlete in both field hockey and lacrosse at Bayport-Blue Point High School. She was a two-time All-Conference and All-Division selection in field hockey and served as a two-year team captain. In her senior year, she was honored as the school’s Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year and earned a silver medal in field hockey at the Empire State Games. She also played club field hockey with Strong Island from 2008 to 2011.
